Meet Dr. Monica Williams

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Williams earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Tuskegee University in Alabama. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, where she was a National Health Service Corps Scholarship recipient. She completed her Family Medicine Residency at the University of Texas at Houston.

Dr. Williams has served diverse patient populations across community health centers and private practice. Her background spans disease prevention, chronic disease management, adolescent health, and integrative therapies. She has held leadership roles as Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director throughout the Southern Region. She was honored as *Primary Care Teacher of the Year* for Queensland University in Australia while serving as a preceptor at Ochsner.

Outside of work, Dr. Williams enjoys painting, drawing, photography, gardening, traveling, and water sports. She is the mother of two adult children and a dog mom.
